Good news, savvy shoppers: there’s still time to shop Amazon Prime Day. The summer sale ends at midnight, which means you still have a few hours to sell big-ticket items, great deals, and more.

And, in addition to scouring Amazon for the best, no-frills deals for kids, I’m also sharing a few tips to help you save big on Prime Day.
6 Amazon Prime Day savings hacks
- Create a child registry: If you have a baby on the way, build the Amazon Baby Registry, you’ll unlock a 15% discount. While you can’t score these with Prime Day deals, knowing you have them allows you to follow this simple rule for the four-day event: Skip sales if the discount is lower than 15%, buy immediately if the discount is higher than 15%.
- Beware of Lightning Products: You never know when these big, limited-time discounts will be available or how long they will last. So, download the Amazon app, create a “Watch This” list, and receive notifications when it happens so you can jump on it.
- See Amazon ResaleIt will open a new window: The discounts on pre-owned items at Amazon are even better on Prime Day.
- Check out other Prime Day deals: Target, Walmart, and other big brands have competitive deals, so you can check prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
- Use a price tracking site like CamelCamelCamelIt will open a new window: Use this to see Amazon’s price changes over the past day, week, or month, and see if the current price is actually a bargain or not.
- Check out the product’s MSRP: Amazon sometimes inflates the “original” price of an item to make the discount look better. If you know what the brand is charging on their website, you can avoid being fooled by the hype.
