Family Fall Pictures | Pictures of Star Hill Ranch

This year was the first time I had the opportunity to shoot at Star Hill Ranch and it certainly won’t be the last. Located off Hamilton Pool Road, this outdoor venue is perfect for weddings, reunions, family photos and more. Since 2002, the center of the farm is located near the Pontotoc Chapel which hosts hundreds of events every year. Along with the beautiful church, many old buildings are moved to create a small town. I really like Star Hill Ranch because of how different this place is. I traditionally shoot at local venues or metro locations in and around Austin so this gives me a much needed change.

Fall Family Mini’s

October marks the beginning of fall family photos. Just last weekend I had 10 back to back family mini’s. I’m thankful to say that every week is stocked with fall minis from this weekend until the end of Christmas. These 20 minute sessions are quick but fun. Many of my clients are ones I have worked with year after year which makes it fun to watch families grow and change from previous years. I recommend coordinating outfits, rustic colors are perfect this time of year. Colors include mustard yellow, bright orange, deep purple and teal. I love it when customers emphasize their expensive clothes with blues and greens – it looks great. One channel I direct clients to is Pinterest.
