From Bump to Baby by Molly and Manju | New East Bay Artist | Bojana Korach Photography

When I first met Molly about the maternity session, it was a brief introduction. Their scheduled photographer did not show up on the day of the session and they needed someone quick to fill in. Luckily, I was able to move things around because just two days after our feminization session Molly went into labor. I’m also glad we were able to do this because I met the sweetest family ever and we didn’t miss capturing these precious memories.

About the Maternity section

Molly and Manju chose Lafayette Reservoir as the location for their maternity portraits. Normally, Lafayette Reservoir is not my first choice but in this case, it was the only right choice for this family. They got married there a year ago and to them Lafayette Reservoir is a special place. Throughout the episode the two acted as if they were still on their honeymoon. It was clear to me that there is love between them. Also, in this section, I have grown to love this place and now it is definitely on my list of favorite spots. I especially loved going to the water’s edge and taking beautiful sunset photos. This part was easy for me and I really enjoyed staying at Molly and Manju’s place and when it was all over, I was very happy to meet their daughter.

About the New Birth Division

The good thing is that I didn’t have to wait that long until their child was born. Exactly two days after our prenatal session, Molly gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl. The newborn photo session was recently planned and filmed at their beautiful home in the mountains of Orinda.

Side Note

I’ve heard horror stories about professional photographers who aren’t professional. For example, I have friends who did the session but didn’t receive the photos afterwards or when the photographer even showed up for the session. Imagine you put on your makeup and get ready to go and then your photographer doesn’t have a show. To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, please do your homework. Search for a photographer and read their reviews. Also, it is better to deposit the money and sign the contract. There are so many of us out there that it makes choosing the right one very difficult. Family memories such as photos of special moments in a person’s life should be as important to the photographer as they are to you.
