One of the first questions we receive in almost every interview is:
“How much is your package, and how many pictures are in it?”
It’s an obvious question. In the recording industry, prices are often compared the same way we compare products – by price and quantity. A lot of pictures for a small amount of money noise as a better price.
But photography—especially when it comes to maternity, newborn, baby, and family—isn’t something you just buy.
I am what you put into it.
And this difference is more important than most people think.
When prices are reduced to just numbers, they inadvertently ignore what makes up your final images:
-
How you feel during this session
-
How well your photographer understands your family
-
How safe and comfortable your child is
-
How much guidance and care you receive throughout the process
Two families may receive the same number of photos, yet have very different experiences—and very different emotional connections to those photos years later.
Quantity does not make meaning.
Events do.
What You’re Really Selling
When a client chooses our studio, it’s not just an appointment with a camera. They are putting in a good experience from the beginning to the end.
1. Preparation & Instructions
From the moment you book, you’re supported with planning, styling advice, timing, and expectations – so you never feel unsure or stressed.
2. Quiet, Child-Led Meeting
Especially for newborns to draw, safety, patience, and experience issues. Sessions are not rushed—your child sets the pace. Parents can rest easy knowing that their child is in safe and knowledgeable hands.
One thing that makes our studio unique is that we are us an all-female team. We intentionally create a warm, supportive, and comfortable environment where new mothers can feel comfortable during such a personal time. Every baby photographer on our team is also a mom (and Iris is looking forward to it!)thus we know ourselves the first days of childhood—resting, comforting, changing diapers, and being patient with children. Although every baby and every family is different, our experiences as mothers often help us anticipate the needs of young children and create a calm, comfortable environment for everyone.
3. A Luxury Studio Experience
A warm, comfortable place. Thoughtful details. Everything is organized so that you don’t have to bring “incidental” things or stress about transportation.
4. Consistency of Skill & Expertise
You’re not just getting photos—you’re getting refined, timeless styles developed over years of photographing thousands of children and families.
5. Professional, Full Time Studio You Can Trust
Photography isn’t something we do on the side—it’s our full-time job and our passion. Our studio is built with purpose, longevity, and consistency in mind.
We are here for the long haul.
This means that when you return for your second, third, or fourth child, you will know what to expect – the same care, quality, and knowledge every time.
For many families, this is very important. You’re not just choosing an artist for one session—you’re choosing a studio that you can grow with, year after year, and I’m sure we’ll be here to document every chapter of your family’s story.
Instead of asking “How many pictures will I take?”the most important question is:
What pictures will I still like 10, 20, or 30 years from now?”
Most families don’t need hundreds of photos.
They want:
-
Which makes them emotional every time they see it
-
Where their child will one day feel the love of their parents
-
Which becomes part of their family history
The images come from purpose, expertise, and knowledge—not from power.
Know What Matters More Than You Think
Many of our customers tell us at the end of this session though before receiving the house:
“Thank you so much! It was amazing!”
They are not talking about the pictures. They are talking about what happened to them.
A Slow Change in Vision – Now or Never
We understand that a budget is important. We also believe that memory is very important.
Some things in life can be put on hold. The journey can wait. Plans are subject to change.
But your child’s first year may not.
Those fleeting principles, how they love you, their small appearance, sudden steps, and once-in-a-lifetime events. Once it’s gone, it can’t be recreated later.
Photography is one of the rarest of currencies it grows in value over time.
So when considering a photography session, we suggest you look beyond that ‘how many’ and ‘how many’:
And instead ask:
How do I want to remember this season of my life?
Now, let’s talk about your role. When you’re ready, it’s easy get a phone conversation.
