If you look at a lot of family photos you will usually find a lot of pictures of children.
First smiles, first steps, bath time, bedtime hugs. messy breakfasts, school dropouts, little hands holding big ones.
Somewhere behind all those times is Mother. He is the one taking pictures.
Mothers are often the ones who remember the family. They write everything because they know how quickly childhood passes, but in doing so, they accidentally disappear from the story.
One day when the children look back at their family photos, they won’t care if mom had a haircut, whether she lost weight, or if she was tired that day. They just want to see him there.
How he looks after them.
How he held them.
How he loved them.
