Baby Bragg Story | Atlanta Maternity and Baby Photographer

Get ready to feast your eyes! I had the privilege of writing about Alex & Patrick’s journey from conception to the birth of their son, Maddox. Patrick is a Louisiana native and a high school friend of my husband, Kramer, so it’s special that we both ended up in Atlanta (and guys at the same company to boot). We are so happy to have these friends in ATL and their sessions couldn’t be more beautiful.

The Braggs had a long road to puberty, and Alex has been open about her infertility issues. Keep reading and be inspired! There is a good ending! 😉

“After I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and learned that it is one of the causes of infertility in women, we decided to pursue fertility treatment in the summer of 2017. The following year, we had many tests, consultations, and various contraceptive methods that did not result in pregnancy. Dr. Jennifer Kawwass transferred our first embryo, but we miscarried shortly after.

Everything was “good” leading up to the transfer, and we were frustrated and confused. I wish I could say that there weren’t days that I questioned God or days that weren’t filled with doubt and anger, but that’s not true with sadness. Although there were dark days after the miscarriage, we knew that we needed to let go of our control and continue to trust in Jehovah’s plan for us. We transferred our second embryo in December 2018, and our sweet Maddox was born on August 27, 2019.

“I wish I could say that there weren’t days that I questioned God or days that weren’t filled with doubt and anger, but that’s not true with sadness.“

He is our greatest blessing and we are very thankful for him. Our journey to him has not been easy, and it is not what we thought it would be, but we are very grateful for Jehovah’s faithfulness. He never leaves us, he loves us more than we can imagine, and what he has planned for us is always good.

Because of Jehovah’s great kindness we are not finished, for his mercy never ends. It will be new in the morning and in the morning; Your faithfulness is great.” -Lamentations 3:22-23.

“Our journey to him has not been easy, and it is not what we thought it would be, but we are very grateful for Jehovah’s faithfulness.“

During the mother of the summer, Alex wore a beautiful lace dress from a storybook, and we had a few horses to go to greet her at the fence. They say animals can hear when you’re pregnant, right?!

We used Alex’s baby blanket for Maddox’s baby cribs. Family heirlooms make the sweetest tools!
