Finding Baby Sorrill: Our Complete Guide to Adoption

I have been promising to show more of our adoption history book. It is a very unsafe thing to post this on the internet for the world to see. I didn’t really think about it because I was excited to get the books, but I was a little nervous and embarrassed to put ourselves out there for everyone to see. But I think it’s good. I think it’s good to share what it is and what we need to do to make parenting happen. When I was researching how to make a good history book I was SO grateful when other adoptive families shared theirs, so I want to share ours. I spent many hours creating this book, like maybe 24 hours total. I rewrote and rewrote, and then rewrote. How would you explain to someone who has a large family that you would give their child? It’s impossible I think. And we wanted to be real and honest but not too arrogant, but not too humble and plain. And finding the right balance between images and text, not enough information and too much unnecessary information. So I delete and retype, and get a new image. We really poured our hearts into this book, and I’m proud of it. I love our life together and I love our families. I love how the book turned out. That’s right… “US”. So here it is. Our reference book. Leave me a comment letting me know what you think will help end this shame blocking my life on earth:) PS. If anyone is wondering why we have so many copies of our book, it is because we are working with consultants and registered with 5 organizations and each organization requires 2-5 books.
