Why Photography Is So Important
This is so hard to write! Why Is Photography So Important? I want everyone to know how important it is to take loved ones for professional portraits!
In June, I took my mom, my sister and my 2 boys to the studio to get a family portrait since we didn’t have anything together! I didn’t have any good pictures of my mom at all! So under great pressure she let me take her picture!
Well on the 6th of August he passed away and now the pictures I took of him are precious to me! My favorite thing!
My print lab created a framework for me to add all the stuff which also means more growth!
A lock of her hair, a Jade pendant with Chinese writing that she used to wear as a child, her Cath Kidston Glasses that remind me so much of her! The Chinese ornament that he likes to hang on his fireplace comes from his love of all things Chinese while living in Hong Kong and the WRAC, and his WRAC badges!
If I hadn’t taken her to the studio for the Portrait session I wouldn’t have had a picture of her that captured her spirit the way she was, always with a smile ready to burst! Now I will never forget that, as memories fade with time! This is why photography is so important.
I can’t tell you all the importance of your children and that you take pictures of your loved one, because they or you are gone is all that will be left and this will be very important to them!!
So take your parents, your kids, yourself into the studio! Make a shot for a generation, make a memory for your children!!!
