Motherhood: New Mothers Need Time to Rest and Recover After Giving Birth

A wonderful new book that promotes an old concept, postpartum care. A Postpartum Doula fills this role for many families.
“Doula” is a Greek word that has come to mean “attendant or New Mother” to care for new families and care for them after birth. Postpartum Doulas are different from a newborn nurse. We are a maternity clinic for families who want to care for their newborns, but need care for their families, themselves and their families. And learning and being supported to breastfeed and take care of a newborn.
Doulas do not disrupt the bond of a new family.

With so many changes going on Postpartum Doulas can help ease the transition with non-judgmental, supportive care by helping the newborn and breastfeeding or simply by making you a cup of tea and something healthy to eat and giving you a chance to talk about your new pregnancy concerns.

A beautiful new book.
