As if giving birth wasn’t enough to give you pain in places you didn’t know could hurt you, parenting takes its toll on the body.
Notable activities:
- Putting your neck on the nursing baby to see if he swallows, snuggling babies in your arms, thrusting your hips out to share the weight is part of parenting.
- Moving your baby in and out of the crib
- Moving the baby between the stroller and the car seat
Sound good? Even if you never started lifting weights, it has now become part of your daily routine. And you’re doing something that doesn’t seem to end.
Weightlifters are advised to warm up before they do their workout and similarly stretch before or after to avoid injury.
Easy ways to relieve stress and tension with a DIY massage. This can be done with three powerful weapons that you may already have lying around the house.

- One ball
All you need is a firm but spongy, flexible ball. Yoga balls are awesome, but if you don’t have one, lacrosse balls, or one of your kids’ soccer balls will do. Depending on how hard a ball your muscles can handle, tennis balls can also do the trick. Stand facing a wall and brace the ball against the wall with your shoulder. Apply pressure to the right place. To release a tight hip, lie on your side and place the ball under the hip joint. Use your body to move the ball up and down the length of your leg. You can also rub it on the bottom of your foot to massage the muscles.
2) Peanut ball.
These are two balls connected together that allow you to hit points on your body. (Around your spine or sacrum/tailbone). As you move your body you can massage 2 points at the same time. For example, lie down with balls around your back. You can move your body up and down and change the pressure. To increase the weight lift your whole body down to focus on the pressure. You can also try two blocked balls but this requires more control and coordination.

My favorite places:
The base of the skull
Around the back
Around the tailbone
3) Foam roller
For any workout, foam rollers allow you to massage the biggest muscles. You can change the position of the foam roller according to your needs. Foam rollers are great for targeting large muscles like your thighs.
Finally..
Exercise, which is the practice of doing exercises that mimic real-life movements, is all the rage here. So give yourself the opportunity to exercise at home – you exercise all day long! (and sometimes at night) Give yourself a DIY massage for sore muscles, without breaking the bank!
