The External Part of the Newborn in the Epidemic Period | Bojana Korach Photography

Closing

Last March I filmed my last homebirth episode one day before California’s pandemic shutdown. Before the shutdown, I had not realized the extent of the threat of COVID-19 and the long-term impact it would have on my business. However, I realized that difficult times call for difficult decisions. I decided that, in order to protect my health and the health of my clients, I will no longer practice home births until such a close home experience is deemed safe. I knew that this change in my business practices would hurt my income and inconvenience some of my clients, but I believed and still believe that safety must come first. Soon, hopefully, vaccines will be widely available and I will be able to start home birth sessions again.

Outdoor New Section

During this time, I was able to help some of my clients through the issues of mothers and families. I also had the opportunity to experiment for the first time with external parts for newborns. I had the opportunity to record a few and I really enjoyed them. Sometimes it was difficult, but with a little skill and passion, I really like the process and the result. The section I chose to feature on this blog is my favorite. I love how the pictures turned out. I would like to point out that outdoor newborn sessions are not only a safe option during the pandemic but can also be a new option for customers who prefer nature to indoor confinement.

Bump to Baby Package

After this customer booked my Bump to Baby package, the bump was nowhere to be seen. When this started to happen, my clients and I decided to change our expectations to fit our new world. Although we knew there would be obstacles in preparing for their prenatal and newborn sessions, we were determined to do everything we could to make it happen. We chose San Francisco’s Lands End as the location for the maternity session. When we first met, we immediately felt a connection and had a great relationship. I had a lot of fun during the shooting. My clients loved the pictures and were happy with them. Although I started well, I told them what I knew if they decided to go with another photographer to meet the newborn. Although I chose to hold off on any newborn sessions until safety permitted, I realized that my clients would not feel the same way. My goal is always to make my customers happy whether it’s me as an artist or someone else. I am glad that my clients chose to trust me and try an external birth control. We met at the Piedmont Community park, near her home. The new outdoor shoot was a huge success and I loved the whole process. We bathed and fed baby Ethan. He was as happy as he could be in fresh air. Here are the pictures…
