Finding Baby Sorrill: I always wonder how this will end

Adoption Process

We have finally entered the waiting phase of adoption. The part where our book is shown to expectant mothers and we are waiting to hear if they chose us or not. And I mean like right now, this afternoon/evening. The expectant mother took our book home today and can look at it right now as I write this. I always wonder what that would sound like. And I think it’s different from what I expected, so far. I expected to be over the top with anxiety and nerves. I am anxious, but I am calm and peaceful. I’M ALWAYS CHANGING!! I think I just know that this is where God is leading us and I know that He has OUR child to prepare for us, and we have to wait patiently. So what do we do while we wait? We are going for a tandem bike ride for sure!!

Meanwhile… we have another issue sent to us today and they need to know right away if we want to show our book, but we have to wait until we hear from the ladies who have our book right now. I am very worried that I will not hear back and miss these other events. I don’t want to miss our baby. And every time I see an email from our mentor I get so excited I have to pull my car over to read about it. This fun guys, it’s crazy! I don’t expect to feel rejected, and we can get rejected many times before we get our game. We know it’s not personal, but it’s not fun, especially when we risk putting ourselves out there.

Our fundraiser is almost done!! We just need it 43 other pieces help!! I am thankful and grateful for everyone who has helped us!! Funding is difficult. It’s not our business. We (especially Wes) hate to admit that we need help with this. But since Wes is still in medical school and I’m the only one helping out right now, it’s not possible to do this alone. It has been humbling and truly an amazing blessing to see so many people coming together to help us. I have cried many tears of gratitude for the support we have received so far! I didn’t realize how precious and meaningful this image could be, and how much I could enjoy it. So if anyone is willing to help us support ours 43 final pieces (about 252 pieces) we will be forever grateful! If you can’t help financially please share this with someone who might, and above all, PLEASE PRAY FOR US AND OUR SON!! And most of all, thank you for your continued prayers, support and encouragement!
